Only 30 days left for the Back to the Classics Challenge!

There are only 30 days left for the Back to the Classics Challenge! Did you sign up for the challenge? Have you completed six or more books? There is still time to complete the challenge and qualify for the prize drawing by posting a short wrap-up and linking here.

So far only 15 people have linked to wrap-up posts so odds are in your favor! You have until midnight, December 31 (PST) to post. What are you waiting for?

  2. Hi Karen, just checking re categories. I've read two books this year that fitted the 'horror' classic, but they didn't feel that way to me. However, I've just finished 'The Spy Who Came in From the Cold' (1963) and it had a real sense of horror, for me at least. Would it be ok to link to that when I write the review??

    1. I've been thinking about this and I have to say that it's really not a horror classic, it's a spy novel. However, you could certainly count it as your 20th Century Classic or your Award-Winning Classic. And there's definitely a chance you could use LeCarre for the challenge next year!

    2. Yes, after I’d posted my comment I realised it was a stupid question! Thanks for considering 🙂

    1. Well done! I'm sorry to say I still haven't finished -- I've been putting off the pre-1800s classic.

  4. Working on my final two books. I think it might take me most of the month to read The Old Curiosity Shop, so I'm trying to make a bit of headway on that every day while getting a bunch of other stuff read all along. Suddenly have way too many books to read this month!

    1. Dickens seems to do that to reading.

    2. The Old Curiosity Shop was not my favorite Dickens, I understand why it might take so long! And I still can't get through The Mystery of Edwin Drood.
